Douceur
There is a gentleness in the rain,
une douceur mélancholique,
like the soft pulse of a vein
dans la pluie qui tambourine
sur la terre gorgée d’eau, the refrain
of a song that tip-taps, il pleut, il pleut
while the sky rains tears it cannot retain,
tout en douceur, un alambic
too full to take much more pain.
Beautiful sadness. xx

I love the way you weave the languages together. A curtain of melancholy but so beautiful. (K)

The two languages fight it out for head space sometimes.

I was just reading an article about that. How each language changes the way the person uses the other one.

It’s a fascinating subject. I’d love to know more about the mechanism of language.
