How to fight bigotry

If you’re at a loss as to how you can do your bit to fight bigots, here is my two-point plan.

1) Look up the dictionary definition of a bigot. Or let me do it for you. This is the Collin’s English Dictionary definition:

‘a person who is intolerant of any ideas other than his or her own, especially on religion, politics, and race.’

2) Try not to be one.

  5. Perfect! I was going to suggest communist too, but you’re right, it has lost any meaning in the US. If you care about anyone but yourself, you’re a communist. (K)

    1. Yes, just another example of ignorance. Communism is an ideology like any other. At least it’s an ideology that has tried to work out a way of making life fairer for the majority. Capitalism is just a guide to making lots of money out of exploiting the majority. But it’s a waste of time trying to explain a system that doesn’t believe that rich people are essentially nice generous people and will share their wealth, to people who worship money and hope to grab as much of it as they can.

      1. It’s amazing to me how many people seriously think they have a chance to get rich, while spending their lives laboring to make others so. Also why anyone needs so much money.

      1. It’s hard to listen to oneself with ears plugged into a phone. And there is just so much noisy chatter in the world!
